AIA Project of the Month: 100 years later, a civic dream comes true in South Park

The walls of South Park Library are pulled back from the street to create a modest public plaza.

A century ago, right after South Park was incorporated into the city of Seattle, citizens began advocating for a library of their own. Two years ago, in 2006, their wish came true.
