Strange But True!

Q. Horse lovers, can you say how far back some of today's popular “neigh-sayings” go?

A. “Hold your horses” may trace to Homer's “Iliad,” written nearly 3,000 years ago, says Mental Floss magazine. A line in book 23 is commonly translated as “Antilochus, you drive like a maniac! Hold your horses!”
