The Washington Technology Center was awarded a $100,000 matching grant from the Small Business Administration under its Federal and State Technology Partnership Program. Washington Technology Center will use the money to work with eight other groups to help Washington companies compete more successfully in the federal Small Business Innovation Research award program. The program consists of conferences, subsidized proposal writing assistance, review of business plans and professional advice. The Washington Technology Center has committed to match an additional $215,000 in support of the federal award to extend beyond this one-year grant. The Washington Technology Center is a technology-based economic development agency that facilitates and funds industry-university research collaborations.
