Association of Sewer & Water Districts
Port Orchard's Karcher Creek Sewer District was named District of the Year by the Washington Association of Sewer & Water Districts. The award is presented to the special purpose utility district which most exemplifies and supports the goals of the association. The association also awarded the Alderwood Water and Wastewater District its Distinguished Service Award for 2001 for its support and active participation. The association also named
Lynne Danielson, commissioner of the Tahuya River Valley Water District, president; and
Larry Jones, commissioner of the Alderwood Water District, vice president of its board of directors. In addition,
Ken Goodwin, commissioner of the Woodinville Water District was elected to the board of directors and treasurer.
