United Way

David Okimoto, a 25-year veteran in Seattle/King County human service work, will join the United Way of King County team as vice president of community services. For 11 years, Okimoto was the Atlantic Street Center’s executive director. Atlantic Street Center provides counseling, parenting and case management services to children, youth and families in central and southeast Seattle. Okimoto has volunteered for more than 30 agencies, and has served as a board member or chair for many of them. He is a founding member of the Minority Executive Directors Coalition, and served as its president in 1999.
