Office of the Governor

Gov. Gary Locke named his cabinet revenue director, Fred Kiga, to be his chief of staff. Kiga succeeds Paul Isaki. The governor also appointed Sam Sperry as his top policy adviser. Sperry most recently worked for the Seattle public affairs firm of Gogerty Stark Marriott and has held previous positions with the Seattle Times and Post-Intelligencer. Sperry replaces acting policy director Carol Jolly who will return to her position as deputy policy director.
