Allison L. Watson will replace Rosa Garcia as vice president of Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Sales and Marketing Group. Watson was previously chief of staff for Kevin Johnson, senior vice president of Microsoft Americas. Watson is working with Garcia to transition leadership. She will assume leadership full time beginning Aug. 1 when Garcia becomes general manager of Microsoft's subsidiary in Spain. Microsoft also promoted Mary Snapp to vice president of Law and Corporate Affairs, reporting to incoming general counsel Brad Smith. Snapp will continue to serve as Microsoft's deputy general counsel for product development and marketing. Before joining Microsoft, Snapp was in private practice at what is now Preston, Gates and Ellis. Snapp's new responsibilities will include the company's compliance under new antitrust consent decree.
