Governor Gary Locke appointed Francis Martin of Yakima to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Public Disclosure Commission Commissioner Gerry Marsh. Martin is a retired firefighter from Yakima and previously served as racing secretary for Kennewick. Martin’s partial term will end Dec. 31, 2004. The commission also confirmed the governor's earlier appointment of Mike Connelly as a PDC commisioner. Connelly is currently city attorney for the city of Spokane and also an adjunct professor at the Gonzaga School of Law. Commissioners Susan Brady and Lois Clement were also elected vice chair and secretary respectively. Each commission member serves in an elected position for a one-year term.
