West Edge Neighborhood

Downtown Seattle’s West Edge Neighborhood has been named Neighborhood of the Year by Neighborhoods USA. The award was presented to the Metropolitan Improvement District Advisory Board, which oversees the West Edge project. The West Edge renaming project grew out of the desire of neighborhood businesses to provide the area, known for its independent merchants and artistic talent, with a stronger identity. West Edge encompasses First, Second, and Western avenues, south of Belltown and north of Pioneer Square and contains Pike Place Market, Seattle Art Museum and Benaroya Hall.
