Union Gospel Mission

Seattle's Union Gospel Mission received a $50,000 matching grant from the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust. The grant will support construction to repair damage suffered at the Men's Shelter during the Nisqually earthquake over two years ago. The Mission must raise $50,000 in donations to match the grant. Construction is currently underway but the cost is over $3 million. The Mission must raise nearly $480,000 by the end of this month to meet this cost. Last year the mission served over 440,000 meals and provided 111,431 beds to men, women and children.
