Consumer Protection Division

Sharon Nelson has been named chief of Washington's Consumer Protection Division under the Office of the Attorney General. Nelson is the director of the Shidler Center for Law, Commerce and Technology at the University of Washington School of Law, and has previously served on state and national committees and commissions. The division enforces the state's consumer protection laws, manages six consumer resource centers, administers the Lemon Law program and educates the public on consumer protection.
