Chris Marr, a member and former chairman of the state transportation commission, was appointed to the Washington State University board or regents and Craig Cole, a Bellingham business leader, was named to the University of Washington board of regents. Phil Sharpe and Peggy Zoro were named trustees at WSU. Sharpe has been on the board at Whatcom Community College and was special counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources. Zoro is an executive at Whidbey Island Bank.
