Seattle Department of Transportation

The Seattle Department of Transportation’s CarSmart Community Grants Program was recently awarded the Puget Sound Regional Council’s Vision 2020 Award. The CarSmart grants are used by groups working to reduce congestion in city neighborhoods. The grants were used for projects such as encouraging busing, biking and walking; car-free events; education programs; and neighborhood mapping.
