Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention

Larry Mayes has been appointed interim director of the King County Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention. Mayes, who retired from the King County Sheriff's Field Operations Division in 2000, will replace Steve Thompson, who has taken a similar position in Snohomish County. Michael Gedeon was also named to the department as interim chief of administration. Gedeon is currently project coordinator for the county's Juvenile Justice Operation Master Plan.
