Western Washington University professor Rand Jack will retire from teaching in June and continue to practice law with the Brett and Daugert law firm in Bellingham. The Fairhaven College Law and Diversity Program that he founded in 1991 will double in size to further its mission of increasing diversity in the legal profession. The undergraduate pre-law program will add two new faculty members. Teri McMurtry-Chubb comes from Drake University Law School, where she teaches legal writing as the first full-time female of color faculty member. Raquel Montoya-Lewis comes from the University of New Mexico Law School where she teaches legal writing.
