Modern MFG Services of Silverdale has changed its name to Radix Marine. The company also named Kathy Bright, president of its subsidiary Integrated Maritime Platforms International, as president of Radix and added her to the board of directors. Scott Edwards, a retired Navy veteran specializing in physical security and antiterrorism, was named vice president; Monica V. Langfeldt, former tax associate with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, was named chief financial officer; and Roy Rainey, secretary/treasurer of IMPI, was named to the board of directors. Modern MFG contracts with the military to develop small, remotely controlled unmanned boats called USVs.
