13th Coast Guard District

Rear Admiral Jeffrey M. Garrett has assumed command of the 13th U.S. Coast Guard District based in Seattle. Garrett will relieve Rear Admiral Erroll M. Brown who will transfer to U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, in Washington, D.C., to become assistant commandant for systems. Garrett, a 1974 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, previously served at the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters as director of resources.
