The Kitsap Regional Economic Development Council picked David R. Porter to be executive director, beginning in September. Porter has worked in economic development for 13 years, as director of marketing and membership development at the Economic Development Council of Snohomish County, director of economic development for Roanoke County, Va., and most recently marketing manager for the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority in Virginia. The Kitsap Regional Economic Development Council has a 15-member board and a full-time time staff of four.
