Bates Technical College

The trustees of Tacoma's Bates Technical College named Lyle Quasim to serve as chair and Theresa Pan to serve as vice-chair of its board. Quasim was appointed as a trustee in March 2001. He currently serves as chief of staff in the Pierce County Executive's office. Pan, appointed in March 2002, is the owner of Star Tours in Tacoma, president of Associate Travel in Seattle, and president of Star Machine Tools. Bates is a public, accredited state college, and the largest technical college in Washington State.
