Bill Roden has been named president of Bates Technical College in Tacoma. Roden previously served as chancellor at the Louisiana Technical College, responsible for 42 campuses in eight college districts. Bates is the state's largest technical college, with 20,000 students. Bates offers training in 350 job areas, through 65 career training programs.
