Little Red Schoolhouse Project

Several community organizations, churches and individuals have teamed with Westfield Shoppingtown in Olympia to collect school supplies, clothing, shoes, underwear and socks for Thurston County children from low-income families. Donations can be made at the red schoolhouse in Westfield Shoppingtown through Aug. 18. Heritage Bank is also collecting donations of clothing and school supplies and cash at their six Olympia-area locations. The collected items will be distributed Thursday., Aug. 21 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Jefferson Middle School in Olympia.
