The inauguration of a new building housing Washington State University's Institute for Shock Physics has been set for Aug. 27. Shock wave research at WSU is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Office of Naval Research. The $12.4 million building was funded by the Washington State Legislature. Miller Hull of Seattle was the architect and Lydig Construction Company of Spokane was the general contractor for the 33,000 square-foot, three-story, brick building.
