Former Seattle attorney, Richard C. Reed, currently a senior advisor at Altman Weil, has received the Sam Smith Award from the American Bar Association. Reed was honored for his decades of law practice and leadership; writing and speaking on law practice management topics; and his contribution as a mentor and friend to lawyers throughout the profession. Reed practiced law for 41 years in Seattle, and was chairman of the board at Reed McClure in Seattle before his retirement in 1989.
