The Washington Small Business Development Center Network named Rick Thorpe, Washington State University business development specialist, 2003 Star Performer for his contribution to the SBDC program. SBDC, based in Spokane, is a cooperative effort of Washington State University, Western Washington University, community colleges, economic development organizations and the U.S. Small Business Administration that provides assistance to small businesses.
