Western Washington University

The Higher Education Coordinating Board awarded Western Washington University with a $250,000 match to establish the Ralph Munro Distinguished Professorship in Civic Education. The funds were donated by more than 550 individuals, corporations and foundations over the past four years. The professorship is named to honor Ralph Munro, a 1966 WWU political science graduate who later served as Washington's secretary of state. The HEC board is a state agency that works on expanding higher education support in Washington.
