Crowley Maritime Corp.

Oakland-based Crowley Maritime Corp. promoted Alex Sweeney to vice president and general manager of its energy and marine services business unit in Seattle. He replaces Steve Peterson. Sweeney will be responsible for Crowley's services to companies in exploration, production and distribution of oil and gas. Areas of operation extend from Prudhoe Bay to Rio de Janeiro, from the Russian Far East to Africa. Sweeney will also oversee ocean towing and transportation services.
