Kennewick-based Stirling Technology Co. announced it is moving from research and development into limited production so it can work on major government contracts. Steve Petersen has been named director of the operations group and will manage production resources. Peter Brehm becomes director of government programs. Brehm was managing a space engine program for NASA. Terry Smith will now manage the space engine program. Matt Cullinane joins from Capstone Turbine Corp., where he was manager of a terrestrial 55-watt generator program. Frank Faltersack is lead assembly engineer. The company makes and sells power generators and high-efficiency power technologies.
