Neah Power Systems

Bothell-based Neah Power Systems, a micro fuel cell technology company, said the non-profit private investor group Alliance of Angels named it Start Up Company of the Year. Alliance has invested more than $600,000 in Neah Power Systems, whose fuel cell could extend mobile device runtimes. Seed capital from Alliance enabled Neah Power founder Leroy Ohlsen to demonstrate key technical concepts, which the company says led to its first patent, issued last year.
