FareStart Cafe at 2100

The FareStart Cafe at 2100 opened recently in Rainier Valley at 2100 24th Ave. S. FareStart trains homeless and disadvantaged people for careers in the food service industry. The cafe will also be a teaching facility for youth FareStart students. The Youth Barista training program aims to empower homeless and at-risk youth through hands-on training. Half of FareStart's operating budget comes from restaurants, cafes, catering and contract meals.
