City of Seattle

The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors recently gave seven awards to Seattle's Democracy Portal and the Office of Cable Communication. Both are administered by the Department of Information Technology. Democracy Portal includes the Seattle Channel, carried to 160,000 homes, and its Web site, http://www.seattlechannel.org. The Office of Cable Communications negotiates with and regulates private cable communications providers in Seattle.
