Swedish Medical Center

Two top neurosurgeons were appointed to the Seattle Neuroscience Institute at Swedish Medical Center. Executive director Marc R. Mayberg chaired neurological surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. David W. Newell was acting chief of neurological surgery at Harborview Medical Center. They will lead a major expansion of Swedish's neuroscience program. Seattle Neuroscience Institute will be at Swedish/Providence campus on 17th and Jefferson. Swedish Medical Center is a nonprofit health provider with campuses on First Hill, the Providence campus and Ballard.
