Pacific Northwest Ballet has picked 39-year-old Peter Boal as the new artistic director. Boal is an award-winning principal dancer with the New York City Ballet and will succeed Kent Stowell and Francia Russell, who have led PNB and the PNB School since 1977. Boal is expected to retire from New York City Ballet in early June.
