Sally Jewell, chief operating officer of Seattle-based Recreational Equipment, Inc., was elected to the board of trustees of the National Parks Conservation Association, a non-partisan watchdog organization. Jewell will succeed Dennis Madsen as REI president and chief executive officer when he retires in early 2005.
