Fred Hutchinson

Cell cycle and cancer research expert Jim M. Roberts was named director of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's basic sciences division. He replaces Mark Groudine, who will be deputy director. Assisting Roberts are associate division directors Linda Buck, a 2004 Nobel laureate, and Jonathan Cooper. They replace former directors Susan Parkhurst and Barry Stoddard. The center is an independent nonprofit research institution.
