U. S. Bankruptcy Court

Chief Judge Mary M. Schroeder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has appointed Judge Frank L. Kurtz to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Washington. Kurtz, 59, began his 14-year term on Nov. 1. He succeeds John A. Rossmeissl, who retired after almost 18 years of service. Kurtz was formerly a judge of the Washington State Court of Appeals.
