Seattle Chinese Garden

The Seattle Chinese Garden said Evelyn P. Yenson has been appointed executive director. Yenson previously worked for three Washington state governors. Yenson has been a manager at the Seattle Department of Community Development and at Seattle Center. She served as director of the Washington Pavilion at EXPO 86, the Washington State Lottery and the Washington Department of Licensing. Most recently she was with MDI, a subsidiary of Scientific Games Corp. She succeeds Kathy Scanlan, who led the garden through the design phase to the start of construction last August. Construction on the $30 million, 4.6-acre garden started in August 2005.
