Inland Northwest Partners

The Inland Northwest Partners, an economic development organization, awarded several Palouse-area econonomic organizations its 2007 Hometown Awards. Moscow, Idaho, received the community award for its Fiber Project to create a citywide fiber optic netowrk. The Port of Whitman County received the partnership award for its work to improve the economic vitality and lives of its citizens. Tammy Lewis, Palouse economic development council managing director for Whitman County, won the Hometown Hero Award for her work over three years to improve the economic vitality of Whitman County.
