Western Washington University hired Steve Swan as vice president for university relations. Swan, currently assistant chancellor for university advancement at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, will start at WWU on Jan. 5. He succeeds Robert Frazier, who resigned last summer. Since then, Sherry Burkey has served as interim vice president for external affairs, and will assume the position of associate vice president for university relations and director for legislative relations.
