The Estate Planning Council of Seattle has appointed new officers for 2009-2010. Donald Kurth, CPA with the Seattle firm Hagen Kurth Perman & Co., is president. Barbara Sherland, an estate planning lawyer with Stoel Rives in Seattle, is immediate past president. President-elect is Richard Conrad, senior vice president and senior regional trust manager with Wells Fargo The Private Bank in Seattle. Mitchell Maurer, a chartered life underwriter with AXA Advisors in Bellevue, is treasurer. Patricia Char, a lawyer with K&L Gates in Seattle, is secretary. The executive committee includes Lora Brown of the Law Offices of Lora L. Brown in Seattle, Chris Strand, CPA with Bader Martin PS in Seattle, Julie Green, a chartered life underwriter with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in Seattle, and Michael Vranizan a trust officer with Whittier Trust Co. of Washington in Seattle.
