Pierce County

Julie Anderson has been sworn in as Pierce County auditor. Anderson won a special election in November to finish the term of auditor Pat McCarthy, who was elected county executive last fall. Anderson succeeds Jan Shabro, who was appointed to the post in January. Anderson spent six years as a member of the Tacoma City Council, including service as deputy mayor.
