Seattle-based Emeritus Corp., a national provider of assisted living and Alzheimer's and related dementia care services to senior citizens, hired Robert Bateman as executive vice president – finance and chief financial officer. Bateman has been chief financial officer at VisionGate, Fisher Communications and Applied Microsystems Corp. He will replace Raymond Brandstrom, one of the original founders of Emeritus. Brandstrom will continue working with the company as an advisor and vice chairman of the board of directors.
