City of Seattle

Mayor Mike McGinn has appointed Seattle University Law Professor Christian Halliburton to join the city's Public Safety Civil Service Commission. The commission administers the civil service system for Seattle police officers and firefighters, and hears appeals in disciplinary actions. The three members are appointed by the mayor, city council and city employees. Halliburton replaces commissioner Herb Johnson. His term will end on Dec. 31, 2012.
