King County

King County won four awards for IT innovations involving voting, transit and helping people repare for floods. The Vote by Mail Transition Program won a CIO 100 award from CIO magazine. Vote-by-Mail also received an Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties. NACo also gave Achievement Awards to the ADA Mobile Data Terminal/AVL project, which installed automatic vehicle location technology in the Access transportation fleet for people with disabilities. The Flood Response program also received an NACo award.
