Washington Health Benefits Exchange

Gov. Chris Gregoire appointed Stoel Rives Partner Melanie Curtice to the first governing board of the Washington Health Benefits Exchange. Curtice and seven others were selected from 20 nominees put forward by the state legislative caucuses. The board will oversee the new health insurance exchange that will be available to individuals and small businesses beginning in January of 2014. Curtice has experience counseling companies and organizations on employee benefits.
