Les Dames d'Escoffier

Rachael Hanks and Suzanne M. Barbour are the first-ever recipients of Les Dames d'Escoffier, Seattle Chapter scholarships at South Seattle Community College. Hanks, 25, is in the Baking and Pastry-Arts Program. Barbour, 49, is in the Wine Technology program. The scholarship honors Seattle Dame Kathleen Desmond Stang, a cookbook author and food writer. Les Dames d'Escoffier is a society of women in food, beverage and hospitality fields.
