88.5 KPLU announced that Kyle Stokes will join the station as its digital-first reporter focused on Youth and Education on March 10. He'll report for both online and on-air but will take a digital-first approach to the beat. Stokes leaves WFIU-FM in Bloomington, Indiana where he has reported regional stories and maintained a blog on state education policy since 2011 for StateImpact Indiana. For his work on the radio special Progress Report: Education in Indiana which ran on public radio stations across Indiana, Stokes received the 2012 National Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).
