X2 Biosystems, a Seattle-based tech company focused on detection and management of traumatic brain injury, named retired Major General Stephen Layfield president of the government and industrial division. Layfield has more than 30 years of leadership, training and command experience, serving in Bosnia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Afghanistan and Operation Enduring Freedom. The company's technology is being tested for use by the military.
