Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority, which operates the tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain, said Capt. Connie Allen is the new manager of Project SAIL. Allen will upgrade Voyages of Discovery, a maritime history program that serves 8,000 students a year in Washington, Oregon and California. Allen has crewed on tall ships and worked at Los Angeles Maritime Institute and the Maritime Museum of San Diego.
