Mercent

CommerceHub has agreed to acquire Mercent, a retail technology company based in Seattle. When the deal is final next month, the firms will combine teams and have offices on the East and West coasts. Mercent founder and CEO Eric Best becomes chief marketing officer. Mercent helps retailers optimize digital marketing. The firm says it was founded by Amazon.com veterans and is backed by Madrona Venture Group.
