BOISE, Idaho — Idaho lawmakers have a little over two weeks to decide if they should provide taxpayer dollars to pay for the remaining tab on the state's school broadband contract.
Former Sen. John Goedde told legislative budget writers Thursday that the state has received an ultimatum from its contracted broadband providers stating that unless they begin receiving payments for services, Idaho's program will go dark Feb. 22.
